Meet Damon Goebel

After graduating from Texas State University in 2000 with a degree in Planning/ Construction Technology, I went to work for a large commercial construction manager as a project engineer managing projects as large as $20 million. With a dream of owning my own business, I started up Goebel Pool & Spa LLC in the fall of 2010. I began by simply cleaning pools and took this time to learn everything I could about how they worked. I took classes to become a Certified Pool Operator and furthermore became a licensed electrical contractor (TICL #525).

Over the next 5 years, I became very proficient in all swimming pool related maintenance and repairs. I worked with each manufacturer to insure things were done the right way in an unregulated industry were the majority of folks are unlicensed and untrained. My business grew very quickly from the start by simply word of mouth and never had to advertise which is a huge testament. After hiring and training a good team to take care of the daily cleaning operations, it gave me the time to take on larger pool renovation projects.

Through networking and trial and error I learned who to use and who not to use in the pool industry and I put together a talented and trusted team of tradesmen to provide the best quality and value for a finished product. In the summer of 2015, I began taking classes to become a Certified Pool Builder and took my rich construction history and all my knowledge of fixing problems and issues on existing pools and put that to use building custom pools- the right way! -Damon Goebel (Owner)
